Putting on the ritz
Saint-Hill Couture held a catwalk show at a local church during London Fashion Week. The Kinnerton Street couture house is a partnership of two highly talented young designers – Saint-Hill and Britta von Basedow. The fashion show was held at St Paul’s church in Wilton Place. Inspired by the allure of the silver screen goddesses, the collection transported the audience back in time to the golden age of Hollywood, the era of pure glitz and glamour.
Models sashayed down the catwalk to a soundtrack of 1940s swing tunes, like Putting on the Ritz. Gowns glittering with jewels captivated the audience. Made to accentuate women’s curves, the garments were embellished with lace, beading, ostrich feathers and crystals. Each dress was created to Parisian haute couture standards and with exquisite craftmanship.
All the gowns from the catwalk show are available from Saint-Hill Couture’s boutique at 83 Kinnerton Street. For more information call 020 7245 6778 or visit www.saint-hillcouture.com
